Is this popular enough to get a game? I heard the anime was bombing. And I doubt there are enough characters for a good roster yet.

Main problem is with the animation though. And since it's Jump, this is being made to promote the manga. And there are many characters already, but maybe not a wide variety in weapons. |

The manga is doing decently, consistently in a second fifth of the rankings. It's not One Piece or My Hero Academia, but it's pretty steady right now.
However, even taking the manga's story so far, I don't think there's enough material to make a whole game. The entire series thus far is set in one city, and the cast of characters is quite limited compared to other shonen manga of its age. It isn't a journey series where characters travel to a lot of different places and meet a lot of people. Thus, I feel like it's not the time yet that a decent World Trigger game is possible. Unless they make stuff up wholecloth, but that could interfere with what could happen later, as this series hasn't even established itself on what would certainly not happen down the line. |
