Well, thats good news. I like how some of the scenes in the short version were from the Dragonball Z opening(Funimation).

As expected. Get used to this version, because if this turns out like Battle of Gods, it's the only version that will be on the US DVD/BD (even in the Japanese audio track). The Engrish versions of the songs in BoG didn't turn out very good. I had no idea they were supposed to be in English until I was told otherwise. You could count on one hand how many words you could make out!

I like the chorus, but the rest of the song doesn't do much for me. The video is excellent, though.

I still wish Kageyama Hironobu would return.

Yep, we all know what this means. This is the version they're using in the dub.

Well, at least Momoclo made it into the dub.

And on the sub as well, with Battle of Gods, the Engrish FLOW songs are on both audio tracks in most international releases (FUNi's included).

Meanwhile both Battle of Z & XenoVerse games has the Japanese version of their [awful] Cha-La Head-Cha-La cover in all versions.

Does somebody know if there's any problem between Hironobu Kageyama and Toei?

Besides the fact he hasn't performed any Dragon Ball Kai's song, I remember his songs weren't used in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (the 35th Super Sentai produced by Toei, the one that had a lot of references from Super Sentai series from the past). Instead, instrumental versions were used. Songs from other singers, though, were used with full vocal.

I remember reading somewhere on Kanzenshuu it's an agency thing.

Ah, here.

I can count on no hands the number of words I could make out in the linked video. Was that supposed to the "English" version?

I didn't hear any characteristic Marty Friedman riffs in this number either. He's been working with Momoiro Clover Z since 2011. You can hear his work on the Moon Pride OP for Sailor Moon Crystal.

I think PurpleWarrior13 was talking about Battle of Gods, not this new movie.

And well, stating that Marty Friedman has been working with Momoiro Clover Z is a mistake. He has collaborated with them, that doesn't mean he works with them.

"Working with" hardly implies being involved in every release. I just observed that Friedman doesn't appear in this one. Your reaction seems unnecessarily intense. Why?

No, no. No offenses taken. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The problem is that you stated "he's been working" (i.e. Present Perfect Continuous, which implies an action started in the past and continues to the present) with them since 2011. That's not the case, as he only collaborated with them on two songs, I think.

So, he's worked with them before, but he's not working with them now.
