So, finally companies are starting to ditch that nefarious and soon to be forgotten Sailor Moon Crystal in lieu of classic to promote their products. Crystal can no sooner join New Coke in the annals of history.

So, the new Sailor Moon anime is so ugly and bad that this company rather use images from the original anime to promote its products.

EDIT: the above poster wrote what I wanted to say. Disregard my post then. Smile

angelmcazares, no need to disregard the truth. Or at least the truth for a vast number of people.

I'll concur with all of the above, and note that even the Japanese ad couldn't resist the pun that this was Moon Princess power....makeup. Smile

I wonder if these clips from the 1990's version of Sailor Moon is a sign that the companies are starting to realize that Toei's half-heartened creation of Sailor Moon Crystal is having a bad influence on their products?

Wishful thinking but, I wish they didn't have to be so "modern" when making anime all the time. Maybe have a balance of "Retro" and new. I think Mysterious Girlfriend X did that.

Who was the VO in the CMs?

Was it Kotono Mitsuishi (Usagi's CV) or another seiyuu?

Some of the moonies will never forget SMC though (me included). As a show that ruined our beloved franchise. It's been a while since I watch anime while laughing bitterly.

Even with Viz planning an English version of Sailor Moon Crystal, the exposure of the blatant animation issues and the overall negative reception it has gotten deter me from watching it anytime soon.
