The source manga's billed as seinen genre and published in a seinen magazine, so I'm wondering if the character interactions will be different compared to a shounen.

The mangaka's also working on another seinen series, Great Edo's Yuki Shimaki, featuring samurai in Edo-era Japan.

Neither series have received full English translations to date, official or otherwise.

Now that KuroBas is over I really need to find new sports series to fill that empty space in my life. Excited for this.

If the All Blacks choke against France again, in the quarter finals again, at Cardiff again, New Zealand will disown them. Please Richie, let's not have yet another shocker . . . for crying out loud, just kick the drop goal already . . . . . .

I know what you mean. Rugby is a niche sport compared to football, and so most here wouldn't even know what it was let alone what the rules are.

But this is as good an excuse as any to launch into rant mode. No-one knows the rules in rugby. No-one. The rule book is more like a tome and is so bloated and arcane that players, commentators, and spectators are often left scratching their heads as to the weird rules that exist. To make it worse, referees simply guess for a lot of their calls, especially at scrum time and the breakdown. They would never say it publicly, but many have admitted off the record to doing so.

I guess rugby is a great game in spite of its laws, rather than because of them.

The 2019 Rugby World Cup will be in Japan, and thus this whole project.

And there's already a big controversy about it:

World Rugby demands new Japan venue list after stadium fiasco

In univ, a friend played rugby; yet I couldn't keep track of all the rules, leagues, unions, etc. (and I play lot of sports so am used to keeping different tracks). Good luck with this show to those who don't even keep track. (Though knowing Japan, they'll probably turn this into another one-on-one battles like they typically do even with team sports.)

No, they're not really different. It's your usual sports manga.
