Sounds interesting and I always feel safe getting a Dark Horse release sight-unseen. Off to pre-order it I go...

I was very interested in this but... then I saw it's on hiatus?
Which i find worrisome considering that it's on hiatus with only one volume and the first volume came out a couple of years ago?

Wow there's a name that I haven't heard in awhile. I guess he's still doing comics. His illustrations are gorgeous. Especially that old illustration works book. Just to get your hands on one would cost you well over $100 or more. It was like a damn tome.

I looked through wikipedia and this author hasn´t really done a lot of manga, his most known work is a manga that got serialized in the span of 10 years and is only one volume long... Yet Kenji Tsuruta has a lot of artworks under his belt.. Can anyone tell me how did this happen? How can a mangaka with very few manga gets to do lots of artworks, and from the looks of it those artworks were good sellers..

Also, how can a mangaka release a single volume in the span of 10 years?? Did he work in other manga? Did he work elsewhere? Was being a mangaka a side project for him?
I´m really interested but sadly his wikipedia article doesn´t have a lot of answers Confused

^maybe he's like Yoshitoshi Abe, who does quite a bit of artwork for others but only does a few story concepts/manga. I've never heard of this title, but the art looks beautiful and I love airplane based adventure stories.

The description makes me think.....

Spin it,
Let's begin it
Bear 'n grin it
When you're in it
You can win it
In a minute
When you spin it, spin it, spin it!
(hahaha) So spin it!
Tale Spin!
- theme from Tale Spin(1990-1991)

The synopsis makes me very interested in this title, I'll be adding this to my list for a future pre-order.

began irregular serialization in Kodansha's Afternoon in 2012

Is usually not the best recipe for fast releases, or anything other than a volume release other than like once a year or less.

Are you sure it is actually confirmed on hiatus. Depending on where you got the info I occasionally see people put erroneous information for irregular serialization releases.
