Looks like they are really trying hard to show off the character animation. I still wish it wasn't so clunky, but they seem to be pretty aware of that, and are doing their best. Some of those movements look remarkably good. The premise is still one of the more intriguing ones for the upcoming season, so I guess I'll be getting used to this.

Anime is a visual medium, and looking presentable is a big part of that. Few things turn me off from an anime more than 3D CGI running at absurdly slow frame rates (this looks to be in the 8-12fps range). I might give something a pass if it's just mecha doing that, but not for the whole thing. The concept seems interesting, but I think I'll pass.
