I'm working on becoming a regular at Comic Market in Tokyo. My interest has veered away a bit from anime and more into the whole doujinshi scene. It's quite a bit of a different experience than the North American type of anime convention (which don't really exist in Japan). But I like it. There's a bit of a challenge navigating the large scale of Comiket and really getting an experience like the local fans do, rather than just being an observer from a foreign land.
If there are any newcomers planning on taking the plunge to visit Comic Market, which I expect to be an especially mindnumbingly crowded event, please ask some questions in this thread or hit me up by PM. Any Comiket veterans, I'd like to know some of your stories, favorite circles and doujinshi acquisitions you are proud of. |
