I just watched it! The first half is pretty much a clip show with added scenes of his classmates coming up with ideas of a potential Sakamoto movie with old footage so it was a little meh, but the second half more than makes up for it with shortened remakes of the first episode but with American and Martian settings! Also the end of the episode is the anime's interpretation of what "really" happens to Sakamoto after the end of the series which was also nice to see.
All in all it was a really pleasant return to this great comedy! It definitely had me laughing quite a bit.
