Glad I won't have see In This Corner of the World separately from Otakon. Though given their timing, it would have been a surprise if it didn't happen.

Hopefully someone ask how the Amazon deal is doing and if it meant more money to the studio.

Anyone actually going to Otakon this year? I am curious to see the turnout.. the normal congoers I talk to are either on the fence or balking on Otakon now that it's been moved to DC.

^I'm actually going to Otakon for the first time this year and being in DC helps that, though I can imagine there are people in the opposite situation.

I'll be interested to see how things go this year. It seems like a lot of fans are being a little petty about the move, in my opinion. Naturally it's better for me, given my location, but I'm a little surprised at the number of people who seem to not be going because of it, it's a couple of hours difference at most, really. I think in a couple of years, if not this year, it'll be back to business as usual, and the DC location really is just a ton better, regardless of what fans think. I've been in that convention center before. It's going to make the whole thing more comfortable for everyone.

On the topic of In This Corner of the World being there, I'm happy, but a little conflicted. I don't really like watching anime at conventions, outside of late night when I should be sleeping, because I feel like I'm missing out on other things I could be doing at the convention. If Maruyama is at the showing though, I'm definitely down for that.
