Sony just keeps dominating this generation. My family has now helped with 6 PS4s (3 PS4 in 2014 that were upgraded to 3 PS4 Pros). The console market is so healthy right now.
I hope the NSwitch keeps doing a good job so that Sony is confident enough to release a PSVita2/PSP3/PSGO5 (whatever) with a PS5 in 2020.
I love the console wars lol (I own all the consoles).

Nah, Sony should leave handhelds to Nintendo. There's no point in wasting money in that pursuit. Just keep on strengthening the home console market even further by investing in more promising studios to develop more games.

Since someone I know bought one with a racing game, figured out local multiplayer doesn't exist anymore and now basically uses the thing as a Blu-ray player I question how useful this metric really is.

Assuming that racing game is Gran Turismo sport, that game has 2 player split screen for local multiplayer.

I own a ps4 and most of the group I game with have also not upgraded to the PRO since you need a 4K tv to make it worth it! Also the current specs for games no where justified a PS5 at this point. Games are still no where close to using the full current specs of the PS4! Also with 76 million units need games for the PS4 should continue for a few more years! To many old games reformatted at this point already! Now Sony could stop the BS dance about backward compatibility with PS3 but seeing as they made it a pay online service not happening!
