So I know that there are more than a few of you--myself included--who have been watching a long-running series of yore, and noticed that it was both long and popular enough to warrant the making of a film or special or something else (or several). Now, you're wondering, "Well, when in continuity do they take place?" The formal, cop-out answer is "nowhere" because these films and specials are almost never canon. Still, maybe you think these little supplementary adaptations are worth the watchin' anyway and are pushing that aside. You want to watch this whole series in chronological order and you don't care what anyone thinks about that. If that describes you, then this thread is for you.
Obviously, though, I haven't seen everything, nor do I bother with everything, so I by no means have a big ol' lovely list to offer right now. I can get this started, though. Otherwise, it's a community effort. If you know a thing or two about such-and-such series and its films and specials and you want to contribute, please indicate somewhere that said film or special occurs between episode x and episode y of series proper. Giving us only something like, "It occurs after character x obtains mcguffin y," or, "After character x falls in love with character z," is great for spoiler-tagged rationale, but isn't terribly useful to new viewers or viewers who are re-watching something they haven't seen for a long time.
