Personally can't wait.
The detail work in the promo pieces alone has me sold. It's clear that at least from the art side of things this is a passion project and it's great to see that shine, my only hope is that the rest of the show can live upto the high bar the art/designers have set in place.

I don't think a company representative would be posting in this thread unless there was the chance this show gets a simuldub.

Does anyone know if it’s necessary to have seen Ashita no Joe to enjoy this?

Now if Funi can get into dubbing this (even if they start next season to release as a weekly stream, I will be happy) and get David Wald as Junk Dog, I will be very happy.

I could be wrong but I really don't think so. Ashita no Joe was a classic boxing tale as far as I know whereas Megalobox seems to take place in a post-apocalyptic/cyberpunk-ish setting so overall I doubt there will be any kind of relation between both series other than being about boxing (and I guess maybe some similar traits in some characters).
Anyway, I'm pretty sure this will be a 100% newbie-friendly series
Oh, and I also would LOVE a simuldub for this

Pikapwn, you asked "Does anyone know if it’s necessary to have seen Ashita no Joe to enjoy this?" Well, I suppose if you want to get the full enjoyment out of it, it might be necessary to see AnJ.
