The manga/comic book series has been in production way before Megalobox was even a thing. Sure, not many people know that, and the vast majority of people probably wouldn’t have cared in the first place without the pilot announcement. Regardless, comparisons will inevitably be drawn sadly, due to the fact that Megalobox’s anime was just the first one out of the gate really.
