I'm assuming this is the same movie that is on Netflix? I'm a bit confused by the poster because that doesn't seem to line up with the movie I saw. I'd love to see it on the bigscreen. This franchise owns my heart.

That movie was technically an OVA. This upcoming movie is an actual film that seems to be a direct sequel

Ah, right you are. I got thrown by the description for the movie which says, "Violet Evergarden tutors a young lady at a private women's academy..." which of course is also part of the plot for Auto Memory Doll. I don't mind movies and OVAs and such, but boy, would really love a full season 2.
