Thank you for this interview, Kim! It was particularly interesting to learn about the way the two tried to take an international perspective.
Many of the anime productions Netflix has been involved in kinda fall into the "grim & murky-looking CG action" category and almost all of them felt forgettable. Great Pretender is different and I think profits a lot from both its Japanese origins and efforts to have a varied, colorful cast of characters. |
