Now, that is a question. I think that is going to be a little bit up to personal preferences. In general it is as good as Attack on Titan, and I think it is a bit too gratuitous and gory to a more spectacle extent. That is showing gore as an almost replacement of depth, which means a lot of the point is removed if you watch it censored, but you are also being expected to stand a lot of graphic stuff.
It can also be easy to read a lot of racism into the design of the roaches. Even if not intentional, it is not hard to see the roaches as caricatures of black people, which can make things a bit uncomfortable. I am not going to say that you cannot or should not watch it, or if there is something wrong with liking it, just that it might not be an easy watch if you have a sensitivity to things that might feel exploitive, more than what Attack on Titan is like.
I see it as a more modern day remake of Blue Gender myself. Minus a real plot and characters with some depth. I think the only real similarities with AOT are more superficial. It is definitely more "adult" like AOT. It does show the disparages of a post apocalyptic style setting. That's where the similarities end in my opinion. Like it, love it, or hate it AOT does have a real narrative and depth behind its characters. Terraformers feels more like if Michael Bay made an action film with a lot of gore and giant killer bugs.
It's fine if you're looking to be entertained and not think too heavily. AOT makes you think about the various components to the characters, the world they live in, who is right or wrong, the grim realities of war, etc. Terraformers is also a good shade gorier than AOT, which is no simple thing to achieve. So if you find the violence and gore in AOT to be too much for you I would advise not watching this one as it's worse. I would actually suggest the older title Blue Gender over this one. Which should be available over on Funimation's website with their back catalog if you have a streaming membership there.

They say looks can be deceiving, but actions also speak louder than words, and Natsume's actions far overshadow his intimidating demeanor.― The "scary guy who actually has a heart of gold" trope has been done a lot, and I'll fault Natsume & Natsume for it because it occasionally falls into the predictable narrative beats often associated with that setup. There are parts in these volumes where Natsum...
