I don't believe Yume-Miru Kikai will ever be done. I believe Maruyama believes it, I know he promised Kon and I know he wants to make it happen, but I don't believe it will happen. The problem is, and I think he's talked about this, if he were to hire a director like, say, Makoto Shinkai, it would be (even if unintentionally) a Makoto Shinkai film and not a Satoshi Kon film.

Satoshi Kon is one of my all time favorite anime directors and I really hope GKids will be able to release this documentary in the US.

madhouse stated several times they wont do it.
they released some screens what was done and then archived it.
