The mobile market is truly terrible. So many games created and dumped super fast, most of the time in a year.
Shame because some of them are good, but that's the risk you take in this market. |

When I watched the first episode of the anime, I thought to myself, "Wow, this is bland and low-effort af, are women in Japan really into this?"

Am assuming it was just a badly designed game, and not a popularity thing.
Especially if they had to "rework" it. |

Probably because the anime was a huge flop. The Vol 1 BD sold less than 200 copies. |

It IS hilariously inept, but let's be honest - if they thought it would be profitable, they'd try to fix the app.
But they don't. The anime was a huge flop, because they thought they could make some bland, personality-free pap with even less than the bare minimum of effort, and women would gobble it up without complaint like pigs eating slop so they could rake in cash. |
