Thank for the heads up about this mysterious Final Mix plot point! I also only played the DS version, so I'm off to the depths of YouTube to figure out what I missed, and to pass the message on to my fellow old-school TWEWY fans! ^^7

Yeah I can tell you probably haven’t played Final Remix but on Final Remix the option to skip cutscenes or speed through them isn’t available until you can do Day Select, so I’m going to assume this game will be like that too.

Another person who only played DS TWEWY here, and is grateful for this info! I've been pondering a replay of the first game, so maybe I should pick up Final Remix and do it that way? I'll miss the dual-screen battling, though.

There was a Youtube vid that did a recap of all the content from original to Final Mix and stuff, glad I watched it. A must if not experienced the new stuff.
