Does anybody know if or when Spice and Wolf manga vol. 9 will be released? I know vol. 8 came out in japan last October.

The Dengeki Maoh magazine still carries the manga, but the 'new releases' page on the ASCII Media Works site doesn't mention Volume 9 as of writing this.
