Series Overview:
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump starting in 1981, Yōichi Takahashi's masterpiece is a monumental football manga that follows the growth of Tsubasa Oozora and his teammates. It is widely renowned for influencing numerous famous football players both in Japan and around the world, with the series boasting a cumulative worldwide circulation of over 90 million copies.

Currently, the sequel series chronicling the continued growth of Tsubasa and his peers, Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun Finals, has been serialized on Shueisha's new portal site, "Captain Tsubasa WORLD," since July 23, 2024.
Marking its 45th anniversary of serialization on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the series continues to be a source of inspiration for young, aspiring football players.
