Barring season 1, the whole show has run for two cours each season. I don't get how is that news.
"Cours" is such a dumb word, though.

It really is. I hate that it's become part of the common fan lexicon because I can't bring myself to say it.

It was adapted because "season" is too vague. "Cour" is a much more useful measurement of length.

24-26, depending on the production. Simple enough. If you wanted to make it simpler you could just call things "3-month" or "6-month" shows.

That's the point. Cours is useful because it fills that purpose. It's a short convenient word that conveys and exact concept that's clunky otherwise.

Huh, two cours. Well, there aren't any movies on the horizon, so those two cours of content shouldn't have any weird shuffling around like last season's cour did. The manga material was pretty rough to be frank, but I think I can still look forward to these two cours' worth of animated action.

The shuffle was only really possible because the two arcs are parallel to each other, so switching them around wouldn't necessarily break the pacing or make any major plot holes. After this point in the manga, the story goes full throttle and never really stops, so swapping the order of arc this season is literally impossible.
