The reaper came for the Japanese arcades and as a result, another way to properly monetize the franchise needs to be thought up before S2 can be aired.

I watched the Pretty Rhythm series only, as everything beyond that had a very different taste, but the franchise in general has had a surprising long run (especially with the rise of Aikatsu, now fall). Pretty Rhythm series one and two are still two of my favorite anime ever.
