I'm surprised by the focus on so many Kira and Lacus romantic scenes. I always thought they were the least developed couple in Cosmic Era as in SEED, while Kira broke up with Flay before losing the Strike he still did not respond to Lacus' feelings with a smile or anything. In Destiny, they seemed like an actual couple but they barely had screentime together when compared to Athrun and Shinn.

The animation looks really good in this trailer, it's getting me excited about the movie, despite hating the ending of Destiny. Also, it looks like they're bringing back Sai, I always wondered what happened to him since he didn't appear in Destiny.

pretty sure that's exactly why they went with that decision for the movie, to flesh our their love story.
