(I had said something about the Onimusha remaster sales here, but apparently that's disputed, soooo I dunno lol)
I imagine it helps how many successful AAA samurai games have been around lately.
Admittedly I completely forgot there was an Onimusha show on Netflix last year.

There here been more “new” Mega Man games made in the time that Okami & Onimusha last saw new entries. Hell even their more obscure titles like Ghost n Goblins and Bionic Commando have had newer entries in the time that Okami & Onimusha were left twisting in the wind.
Meanwhile Viewtiful Joe is still sitting on a still unresolved cliffhanger 20 years on.

I'm guessing the gameplay will be more like the modern Resident Evil games instead of Nioh, but I'm holding my hopes up.

We should probably wait to see if these games are actually good first people complaining. It might be a blessing that our favorite IPs are spared a modernized Capcom treatment.
