Man, it's been forever since I read this. I seem to remember there being some absolutely wild evolution paths in this.
I'm kinda worried it's gonna feel a bit dated, coming out so much later than So I'm A Spider (the novels are contemporaries, they started three months apart), since they share similar story beats (underdog weak creature, epic battles, evolving into stronger forms to hopefully gain a humanoid form at some point). I wonder if the fish reincarnation guy will get an anime too... |
