I think this is the first review I can recall at ANN that had zero negative criticism of the thing being reviewed.
For what it's worth, I completely agree. I picked this up based off the handful of pages made available in previews and absolutely enjoyed it. It is a stunning work that succeeds at everything it is attempting to do. Which is rare and praiseworthy. The only complaint I have, if you can call it that, is wanting more time with the characters. Especially after the epilog, which strongly implied some stuff without actually saying it. Very much looking forward to the author's next work. |
