Question is if it be a good adaptation? I’ve been mostly disappointed with shoujo anime adaptations

It's FINALLY HAPPENING!!!
I'd say it's really good, the main issue until now is that it only covers 8 volumes out of now 46 so it's always been more worthwhile to just read it. |

So happy for more Yona of the Dawn, it's my favorite shoujo series. Hopefully they can animate the entire show now that the manga is ending, and that the OVAs featuring Zeno can make it to the west.

It's bittersweet feeling, The manga which I love is ending but I'm happy that we are getting a second season. I can't wait see my girl Lili to get animated.

FINALLY! This was my first full anime (I checked it out because Akiko Shikata did the second ED, thank youuuu!) and still a huge favorite. Yay!

wow people have been begging for this for years it is up there along with the likes of no game no life of most requested sequels and it finally got it.
A lot of people had given up at this point, especially after the manga ended but it is wonderful Christmas miracle for all the fans. Enjoy it.

Absolutely wonderful news! And at the risk of sounding ungrateful, was it really necessary to take more than 10 years for this? Couldn't one of the countless Generic Isekai borefests that came out during that period have been set aside and this made instead?

I didn't catch this show when it was airing back in 2014, and despite all the praise it got, I've always resisted watching it because it was an incomplete adaptation of a very long (and still ongoing until very recently) manga with no second season in sight. Now that it's getting a sequel, I'm definitely checking it out, and I'm glad they're not just remaking it from scratch, even though it's been 11 years.
