This season really flesh out Kalego as a teacher. Yeah he grumpy and sadistic but he also take his job very seriously, from teaching music to ready to fight the students' parents. I like the part that he told Iruma to find his own interpretation of the song rather than just trying to copy him.

He kinda reminds of Snape honestly

i would not be surprised if the author used snape as a reference. i mean pretty much a lot of authors have their owm version of snape ( ie edward from wistoria )

I assumed the Amadeus similarity was intended. For me, I keep wanting to call him Porno.
In any case, regardless of who wins, any/all of the losers will have grounds to complain about biased judging and conflict of interest, given how all over the map he is about who he hates and who he loves and why.

I really like how the series build up Iruma as the leader of the class. In the Demon Cycle Arc, we saw him can lead people; in the Walter Park Arc, we saw him inspire others to follow his example; in the Harvest Festival Arc, we saw him has the will to raise back up; and now, we are seeing how the regular Iruma leads his class through both music and trust just by reassure them that Purson will show up. He is so reliable that even while he was barely awake, his classmates still take his words serious.

Yes, i love the scene where his reassurance that Purson will return immediately changes the mood

| Quote: | | I can't help but think that Purson's missing older brother plays into all of this at least a little bit. |
You'd think his father would be moving hell and earth to find him since he sounds like the perfect heir. I suspect he's been there all along, waiting until Soi is officially heir, because he doesn't want to be either.
On the other hand, I got the impression that Purson wasn't entirely opposed to that role, he just wants more than living always in the shadows. Many famous spies have had openly flamboyant lives (I mean, "famous spies" should be an oxymoron yet it's not), and I think he'll find a solution that allows him to both finish school and have friends, and strike terror into the hearts of whomever the Purson family's employers want.
Purson's response to his mom gushing about his father was priceless. Now I want to see the fan fic where his mom and Clara's mom get together for brunch. Somebody get on that.

Man, they really went all out for episode 7 and damn did it pay off. Obviously, the big performance for the Music Festival should get all the attention, but it blew away my expectations. Everything was just so well done, and even knowing that this is the sort of series where Purson is going to show up, the pause where they wait for him to appear did have me at the edge of my seat. I also think it's obvious they're going to win and keep the Royal One, especially after seeing the performance, but I'm really curious to see how the judging actually goes and what Poro is going to say. That's next week's content though. This episode is easily one of the best of the series so far.

I really like the allegory about each rank and why Lilith couldn't settle for anyone among the suitors. Iruma basically flip the song around, telling it from Lilith POV instead of the normal suitor POV

Whew, what a show-stopper! Reminded me of the "Once More, with Feeling" musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, especially the finale. I actually applauded when it ended, and I think this was the first 5-star rating I've given this season.
How did I love this? Let me count the ways:
The beginning that kept the audience (including me) guessing. Elizabetta's sultry entrance. The sexy snakes, Jazz and Azz. Lilith's Greek chorus. How cool Clara looked in her outfit, and her moment of gremlining out on Azz's head. Sabnock also being dazzling and surprisingly elegant. That long NGE-esque silence while Alocer read his books. The songs. The lyrics (it's criminal the dub omits them). The suspenseful stillness waiting for Purson to appear. The fact that despite resembling an ordinary instrument, Iruma's piano has dragon wings and can fly. And most of all Purson's utterly joyous smile at the end. Melted my heart. Loved his classy white costume contrasting with the black mafia attire of the rest of the cast too.
Yes, I'm sure Purson's father was there, as was his mom. I'm curious to see how Class E's score will factor into the results. It was clearly obscured for a reason. I wonder if they'll do a flashback to show us their performance, or if for some reason they didn't perform at all.
Bravo!! Brava! Encore!!

I’m assuming they hired some professional choreographers because the motion captured dancing was excellent. Wandance could never. Iruma has never been a show I praise for its animation and I was not expecting a spectacle.

Gods, what an episode.I watched it three times on Saturday, when rewatching an episode even once is a massive rarity for me.
That they just let it play out, and not interject with commentary once it started (looking at you Akane-banashi...) was perhaps my favorite part of a whole perfect episode. Tying in the ranks to the different suitors is a great touch, as was Elizabetta's "heart" instantly pointing out the flaws in each of their archetypes. I, too, laughed at Clara's one moment of breaking character and the very pregnant pause on Allocer's scene. Of the suitors, Sabnock and especially Jazz were the most impressive, RIP Lead's chances as a lowly Alef. And Purson's grand entrance, man, what a treat, especially that smile at the end.
Can't wait to see the results next week.
