Well, that’s a very specific reason.

..has grown in size to a 2,000-page publication, with plans to expand to 3,000 pages. However, that would make the magazine unable to be sold on some digital retailers, so the editorial staff decided to end the magazine.

? I would understand if this was a case of a print publication, but why would a digital retailer care about page count?

..Actually, I think I can imagine a few cases, if it's a digital retailer that demands you read on their app/storefront (like BookWalker) they might have limits what those readers can handle(?). But it still doesn't make sense as I'm pretty sure it wouldn't apply to Kobo or the like as I'm pretty sure there are books with more than 3000 pages out there that can be read on their reader devices, why would a service limit themselves in this regard?

File size limits, bandwidth.. there could be numerous reasons. It does raise the question why not just keep the magazine the same size though.

Can anyone explain this? Do they mean thousands of pages in one edition?

How does a magazine ended up getting 2000 pages in a single edition?

Normally a single monthly manga chapter would be around 40 pages right? One shots or first chapters probably reaching around 70. How does it end up with 3000 pages? Does the magazine have that much manga?

They were up to 60 chapters per issue, and were planning to expand that. That's a lot of pages..

Just to clarify to anyone wondering, the series in it won't vanish, the magazine was collecting chapters most of which were already published on the online platform Yanchan Live!, and those series will continue to be published there as usual.

Speaking of suspensions, could you put up an article about Matogrosso's suspension.

Maybe it was the model's pics that were too heavy?

From what I've read, they "evolved" into Comic Porta --> their series will be switched to comic-porta(dot)com.

The February issue had 76 chapters with ~18 on break that month for 2533 pages; and at 1200px from Kobo it was 649MB. That was the largest one. The final June issue indeed only had 59 with ~23 series taking a break for 2037 pages and was only 528MB. Either way it's a little hefty.
