Credit for being able to still appreciate what a game is/does even if the main gameplay doesn't work for the reviewer. Being able to recognize that something is done well, but not necessarily to taste is not easy.
Personally, the demo sold me on the mechanic and I liked the mix of hacking and shooting. Having to balance them both constantly with the mix of enemy types made it feel like the flavor never got stale. |
