I'm just wondering - are there any legal online film/anime services that actually support the Mac, other than iTunes? It seems like everything I run into these days (Netfilx, Amazon's new service, etc.) is based on Windows Media Player and their DRM. Which not only cuts out the Mac user but also the Linux user as well. With Mac laptops at 17% of the current market sales (according to InfoWorld, August 17) and their share continuing to rise, I'm surprised that more of these services haven't taken this into consideration.

Well, speaking as a linux user I have to say that we don't tend to take DRM as kindly as windows or mac users generally. Most of us would just prefer to use cracked media, so most of us will continue buying the physical discs which have thoroughly broken DRM.
Now if someone bothers to crack one of these services I might be up for using them lol. I don't need more proprietary software.

If I do buy my husband that iPod Nano, I'll likely convert to iPod format from my own recorded DVDs - we have a stand-alone DVD recorder and digital cable, so for anime we have access to On Demand, Fuse and IFC in addition to SciFi and Cartoon Network. He'd rather have live action scifi shows like Dr. Who, anyhow.
This whole online video tied to the Windows Media DRM thing is simply frustrating.
