Anyone else a fan of this series? I've seen the entire anime and I can't wait for the manga to be released.

Yeah, I'll be picking it up eventually...now if only 7S would get those Shinigami no Ballad novels out.

I'll be picking it up just as soon as it's out. I've heard a lot of negative opinions about the anime and I've heard that the manga is better, so having liked the anime I expect to love the manga. Besides, I have to support the excellent Yuri-flavored releases Seven Seas has been doing so well lately.

Ah yes, the Strawberry Panic manga. It's finally almost here! Hopefully the manga will be good, as the anime is not all that great (I gave up halfway through).

If you didn't like the anime, I doubt the manga will be an improvement. You don't read/watch Strawberry Panic for a good plot or well developed relationships and characters. You read it for shameless yuri. From what little I've heard, the manga is "worse" than the anime. Also, I think its only two volumes, and if its true, then there isn't much time to develop things anyway (and on the flipside, its a small investment). But I'm not sure on the length.

It's ongoing still. Only 2 volumes are out, but there will be a 3rd.

Does the term Strawberry have some signifigance in Japan? I've heard it used in Manga titles several times now.

No. It's just a sweet'n'sour fruit often used to symbolize juvenile romance. Search "mahō" and "super" and you'll find more titles with either word.
