This thread says the Hotta/Obata game series is out in favor of the Inoue b-ball series. To be honest, I thought they were taking too long on HnG, so I'm ok with it getting out faster; but I hope Viz won't be slow with SD.
Hell, it seemed to take forever when it was a weekly in Raijin. [No offense to Jake-san.]

I'm not a fan of SD...But I'm glad HnG will get a faster release.
