I'm curious about whether the English KareKano manga translates the Tsuda Diary at the end of each volume. Do these "words from the author" get translated, too?

I'm too lazy to start a new thread. Does anyone know whether or not Kare Kano has ended its run in Japan? How many volumes are there?

I just bought the latest volume. It's volume 17. But the story doesn't end there.

Has Masami Tsuda done anything else besides Kare Kano? I haven't been able to find out much in my searches.

I think that Kare Kano is the only long series that she has done. But she has a few tankoubons made up of short stories, like "Busu to Himegimi", "Onna ni Natta Hi", and a few others. Most of them are old, though.
From what I've read, "Busu to Himegimi" is the most similar to Kare Kano.

Since the anime of Kare Kano got cut short by a season, I'm wondering if the manga kind of wraps things up a bit better. Does anyone know?

I'm not sure about the ending of the manga series, since I only read it when the volumes get released in the US. The latest volume 7 is equivalent to episode 26 of the anime, I think. So, post ending anime stuff is coming up in the manga! Yay! Since the anime basically made up its own ending, I'm sure the manga has the "real." more satisfying ending.
