With the growth of internet availability on increasingly mobile devices like iPhones or PSPs, has any more thought been given to designing a version of ANN for screens with limited width? I know that when the site was converted to CSS the idea was briefly discussed, and I was wondering if it had ever come up again.
I just picked up one of these little machines and with an 800 pixel screen width I have to scroll from side to side quite a bit to read ANN. Back before the switch to CSS it seemed like the width of the page would adjust to the screen to some extent. I logged on with my PSP a couple of times and it squished everything down to fit, but it does not do that any more. I realize that what I am asking probably is very complicated and would require a lot of work, but I was curious and thought I'd ask the question. Having to scroll a bit is certainly not going to prevent my enjoyment of ANN, but it would be nice to have the page fit on the screen too. |
