So, comic book characters can become official citizens, directionally confused seals can become official citizens, yet my British friend Midori (1/4 Japanese descent), who married a Japanese man last month, can only be listed on his family record as a footnote... >sigh< Crying or Very sad

Gotta love strange and quirky laws like that...

Then again, the U.S. isn't much better in some of its processes either. Rolling Eyes
