Hey I'm looking for an realy cool anime that is intelectual more for teenagers and adults and one that is fun an example is kinos journy. I'm new to anime so I haven't seen many so post all you want.

Thanks
~k~ Very Happy

Thanks you guys for all your suggestions but as Kazuki-san said I needed to be more specific. Here are some of the genres I would like to view: Adventure, Drama, Psychological, Shounen, and as Kazuki-san put it "a series that will boggle your mind as you struggle to determine it's meaning".
I hope this will narrow down the selection.

Sorry for the inconevience
Thanks again
~k~

Well I haven't seen Kino's Journey so perhaps a little bit more info will help. So you want a series that's not a kids show. Do you want action? romance? sci-fi? a series that will boggle your mind as you struggle to determine it's meaning? mystery? I could list tons of shows, but I want to make sure I stay with what you like and/or are looking for.

I'll go ahead and put a few down:

Neon Genesis Evangelion: people either love it or hate it, but it is really good (at least I think so), and it'll take watching it several times to even begin to understand it.

RahXephon: some call it an Eva clone, but it's really a whole different show, but like Eva, it takes a few times going through it to really start to understand it.

Full Metal Panic: it's got action and comedy, it's pretty high on my list of good shows

The Vision Of Escaflowne: it has action, romance, drama. another high on my list of favorites, watch the series before the movie.

A really good parody/comedy would be Excel Saga, it still has me laughing till it hurts.

another good comedy is Azumanga Daioh. There really is no plot to this series, but that's what makes it so fun to watch.

Well those are for starters, also all the other that have been listed below me so far I recommend as well.

You asked....I'll answer

Arrow Record of Lodoss Wars
Arrow Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
Arrow R.O.D. (the TV is coming out mid July!!! YAAAAY!)
Arrow Ghost in the Shell (start with the first movie and move on to the TV series when it comes out late July. GITS: Innosence (sp?)(the 2nd movie) will be out later this year)
Arrow X-TV
Arrow Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers.
Arrow If you are the gutsy type, try to peice together Lain and Texhnolyze, but don't give up hope if you don't get it......move onto something a bit lighter in Haibene-Renmei
Arrow Despite all crazy fangirls, Revolutionary Girl Utena is always one of my top picks
Arrow Cowboy Bebop is defenetly worth your while. Cross your fingers for Samurai Champloo to get here soon.

That's really a very mainstream tip of the iceburg. I'm sure others have a list far longer than the one I provide you with, but this will keep you in seclusion for a week or two.

there are so many good mature animes out right now. Two that come to mind are Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex and Wolf's Rain. GitS:SAC is a cyberpunk thriller. while Wolf's Rain is more like a sci-fi fable. not very good descriptions, but theyre both great. a good horror/fantasy would be Shingetsutan Tsukihime. cant say I've seen Kino's journey, but NOIR, as the name implies, is a very dark drama/thriller. and of course, Texnolyze is yet another hard boiled show.

I'd have to recommend Last Exile and Fullmetal Alchemist. (which is coming on adult swim in October) Both are great adventure stories and are made for a teen audience. The character development and designs are both very good. Check them both out.
