Always wanted to staff an anime convention, but don't know where to start? Then today is your lucky day! Katsucon 11 (Arlington, Virginia, February 18-20) is currently accepting applications for REGISTRATION STAFF positions.
Title: REGISTRATION STAFF MEMBER General Description: Work in a registration booth to welcome attendees to the convention and ensure that registration payments are collected promptly and accurately. Duties: You will be in charge of a cashbox or credit-card machine, processing attendee payments and paperwork and issuing badges and welcome packets. You may be called on to laminate badges, prepare packets for distribution, and perform other tasks of a clerical and administrative nature. Time commitment: Attendance at one pre-convention staff meeting (January, Washington DC area, exact date to be determined). At-convention shifts are two hours, for a total of six to eight hours on Friday and Saturday, less on Sunday. Benefits: Access to special staff rate for hotel room, complimentary convention admission for you and a guest, lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday, invitation to post-convention Staff Dinner, staff t-shirt Recommended Experience: customer service or register clerk, convention/trade show registration.
