I believe the purpose of it is to prevent anyone doing any illegal activity via ANN forums. And I think is a correct thing, but:

or websites that house these groups or product.

I've got a question with this part. Imagine that someone is requesting some information about an anime, about a company, or whatever (I mean, legal information). And let's imagine that there's a website that house some of these things, but does also include other activies, such as articles/reviews that can be helpful for the user who's seeking for the information...The question is, are we allowed to link in this case?

I'm asking this because, in my opinion, we're not broking the purpose of the rule (which is avoid interacting with illegal properties), but, looking as how's exactly written, we're supposed to don't be allowed to do what I explained before...

No one did never think about the same? :S

Thoughts have been thought. The answer I heard from Cookie is no. Even if they are not focused on boots or fansubs and have gobs of great information they will not be linked to.
