Nice to see the "classic old-school Final Fantasy" (uh, the PS1 era) styled RPG making a return in this title getting released. Thank you for this interview with the legend!!!

I know in the past he has said he doesn't want to...but I'm still going to hope he actually does eventually do a FFXIV collaboration, even if it's just a small event. Given the game's reverence for the classic titles, it would be quite fitting.

Upcoming? Fantasian Neo Dimension was released last December.

Yeah, I just re-read it and found out it came out in December, this is what happened if you're multi-tasking while reading the ANN article, sorry about that. And I just got chance to read about this game on Wikipedia, I didn't realize it came out on iOS and Apple Arcade back in 2021. Nice to see this game getting a console and Windows PC port. Also nice of Square Enix to help co-developed and published this title for the console and PC version. It must've been nice for Sakaguichi and Square Enix to work together again after leaving SE many years ago.

It must be very flattering to have one of the original creators of FF playing the online version you worked on and take inspiration from that for his next game.
