It means that everyone reviewing it gave it at least a 4.

We started doing it with the Manga Guide about a year ago, but I don't think it ever got actually explained.

In fact, if there was any kind of person that I couldn't recommend this show to, it would be the fan that gorges themselves on every season's requisite iteration on the Reincarnated as Some Guy With a Class and a Stats Menu Who Is Actually the Strongest and Bestest Ever formula.

As an enjoyer of slop-sekais, don't worry, I've read Witch Hat and loveee it, and can still enjoy these cheeses. And on this note, I remember feeling really impressed after finished watching Frieren S1, like I found it so good that I'm unable to watch other series for a while, but it's not restricted to anime with stats menu and cheat skills, more like any titles of any genres. So if the adaptation of Witch Hat could give me similar feelings, that would be great (but nothing can stop me from eating some barely animated power fantasy goodness, even if it takes a while to get back to them).

I swear the second episode of Rooster Fighter was testing. I chose the English dub but the sidekick's voice was one of the worst pitch I ever heard. It's weird for an English voice to bother me when I'm a native Spanish speaker. Also, the opening theme feels a bit lazy for what Fist of the North Star like anime is meant to be.

The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, But an Appraiser (Provisional) honestly sounds like an April Fool's bit by the name alone.

From what I've heard about Witch Hat, I expect it will be great. I know basically nothing about Daemons of the Shadow Realm, but I'm just plain looking forward to seeing something from Hiromu Arakawa.

I am glad the critique and feedback of adding when the first episode of a series will air if reviewed prior to the public air date was addressed and implemented.

So the protagonist of the Shadow Realm is apparently that Riza Hawkeye expy who acts like an audience surrogate?

Agreed. No more searching through streaming sites in confusion.

As someone who knows almost literally nothing about Agents of the Four Seasons, I’m kinda shocked at the meh reception. It seemed to have it all - great animation, and the writer of Violet Evergarden, which everyone liked (or so I thought).

I’ve read the Daemon manga, and it’s great! That said, I hope people don’t compare it to FMA the whole season, that wouldn’t be fair to this series, and frankly, may raise expectations too high.

I just come to the preview guide to see how everyone tries to come up with something to say about generic isekai anime #1,578.

Yeah when I watched Agents of the Four Seasons, as the kid was shoveling off her mom's grave while sobbing about how mommy feels cold, I literally turned to my spouse and said, "Yeesh, they're laying it on a bit thick, aren't they?"
When one of the reviewers said it was the same creator as Violet Evergarden it all made sense. I'm not into melodrama for melodrama's sake, especially when it's laid on so thick I'm laughing instead of crying.

So basically every Visual Arts/Key game in a nutshell. Though in Agents' defense, I found it much more tolerable here than, say, Prima Doll.

Agents of the Four Seasons had a disorientating (positive) first episode; I really enjoyed the ways in which it thrust the viewer into this world with little preparation, where we are left to piece together over time the ways in which the disruption of the seasonal status quo (and Hinagiku's absence within that cycle for the last decade) has impacted others. This is helped along with one major grounding force: Yusuke Takeda's art direction and the work of setting design team overall. The backgrounds do a fantastic job of telling their own story and selling what is essentially as much a central character as Hinagiku and Sakura are (driven home beautifully with the sentiment that "the world loves you" at the end), instantly absorbing one in the feeling of a cold Winter's day where everything seems to have stopped for the moment. This also involves an intriguing overlap of myth with modernity, such as with scenes drawing attention to Sakura's anachronistic sword sitting on her lap as a bureaucrat fiddles with papers and bemoans improper scheduling, or foregrounded roadcones as a car drives down a slope away from the path to a ritual site. But my personal favorite shot of the episode was probably that of the contrasting of Nazuna and Hinagiku on opposite sides of the frame, their legs obscured by the omnipresent snow creeping into the foreground, Nazuna silhouetted by the wreckage of a building lost to the ravages of Winter while Hinagiku is instead enveloped by a water wheel whose forward momentum has literally been frozen in time. It's touches like these that evince very strong boarding (to be expected from Leaf) and help greatly enliven the somewhat stock first episode formula at play. And although this source material is from the author of Violet Evergarden, I must say I had a different KyoAni work in mind as Hinagiku felt like she was channeling a little bit of Chitanda in her starry-eyed stare

For Dorohedoro - they did put up a 10 minute recap of Season 1 on the TOHO YouTube channel a few weeks ago, although I don't think it has English subs unfortunately. Does show someone was thinking about it somewhere in the production though. I get the complaint, although I think it's sort of a lose-lose. Personally I was happy I didn't have to skip any recap since I'd already refreshed myself prior to watching.
