"Daily Streaming Classic"? Had me excited for a minute, but couldn't find where anyone is actually streaming this. Thanks for that bit of disappointment. Sad

Yanno, I should probably change that.

We'll do this show but moving forward Classic reviews will be stuff that's available streaming or at least on R1 DVD.

Ah, PA. Better known as Adult Swim's biggest bust ever.

Just a reminder to people posting in this thread who, like me, have watched this already.

If you are posting about a future episode to the one reviewed please use spoiler tags and clearly state outside the tags what episode you are referencing.

Let's not spoil things for Nick or others.

Is Nick Creamer reviewing it subbed or dubbed?

Hope you keep enjoying this Nick! In fact, your reviews are also a perfect way for me to rewatch the show again since I've only seen it once, and rewatchs benefit to pick things you didn't see before. Anyway, it will be interesting seeing how your experiences and analysis will be.

I'm interested in this series, but the box set seems to be extremely rare and over-priced.

Subbed I would assume, but I don't think it matters since you really can't go wrong with either language track here.

I wish somebody would SELL THIS SHOW so I could BUY IT Mad

Hope it doesn't float around in no-localized-licensing realm forever. Amazing show.

No matter how hard or skillfully they are trying to perform it, it is difficult to recreate things like tonal emphasis and vocal range. If the reviewer is referencing the voice work (be it for praise or criticize), I would like to know in version the reviewer is watching. I am a big supporter of the No Dub option, so if in the review there are/will be parts about the voice work, it could make a big difference.

I can't put into words how much I love this show. It probably didn't make too much sense from a viewership standpoint for [adult swim] to air it, but I'm eternally glad they did, as it's what introduced me to Satoshi Kon's genius. I'm really looking forward to seeing Nick's reactions to everything. Now for the love of God, somebody license-rescue it!

now that it's been mentioned, what does the daily part mean? that we will get one episode of this series reviewed per day ? what we will get one episode of classic series reviewed perday?

How cool, this classic review section is going to be great! I'm someone who is always watching older shows, so to see how they have aged really does influence which ones i'm going to watch first on my "to do" list.

Although I will die a little inside now since I have not watched the entirety of paranoia agent and I don't have endless money to buy it.

Asides from the matter of whether or not he refers to the the bat-swinging assailant as Shounen Bat or Little Slugger, I don't see how the dub/sub issue will matter much as far as assessing the content goes, unless the scripts for the two are more different then I imagine.

It's a mild misnomer. "Daily" streaming refers to the fact that anime series stream every day and reviews of these series go up every day within 24 hours of any given stream. The feature itself is daily for us and for you.

But it's really "once weekly" for a specific single show. So new episode reviews of Paranoia Agent will go up every Monday, one a week, like the other shows this season.
