Digimon Website Hosts 20th Anniversary Countdown

The official portal website for the Digimon franchise launched a countdown website for the franchise's 20th anniversary. The countdown will end at 10:00 a.m. on January 6, 2017. Bandai released the original Digimon portable virtual pet toy on June 26, 1997.

The franchise's first television anime series, Digimon Adventure, celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2014.
