Trivia:

"Suzu" means "small bell" in English

Ringing Bell was released in Japan as a double feature with the US/Sanrio co-production The Mouse and His Child.

Ringing Bell is adapted from the children's book Chirin no Suzu by Takashi Yanase, best known in Japan for Anpanman.

The film was aired on TV and released on video in the U.S. during the early 1980s as a G-rated children's movie. However, Ringing Bell was banned in some countries for being unsuitable for children.
