Trivia:

An early attempt at producing anime for TV that aired for only a single cour/season, this anime was intended to accompany a fighting game released by video game publisher Zamuse, as was to be developed by Gust. However, Zamuse went out of business by the time the anime aired, resulting in the game never seeing release. Toei wouldn't release Shinken Legend on home video until 1996, and only on VHS.
