Getter Robo Arc (TV)

Kiyoyuki Yanada, who voices Benkei Kuruma in this installment, previously voiced Musashi Tomoe in Shin Getter Robo Vs. Neo Getter Robo, and Benkei Musashibou in New Getter Robo. Both anime titles were also directed by Jun Kawagoe.

Queen Meldusa's voice actress, Romi Park, previously voiced Raikou in New Getter Robo.

Professor Han's voice actor, Kenichi Ogata, previously voiced General Bat and Asataro in the original Getter Robo series, and General Hidler in the sequel series, Getter Robo G.

Hideyuki Motohashi, who did the character designs for this series, also worked as a character designer for the anime adaptations of Majuu Sensen and Kyomu Senshi Miroku, two other works also created by Ken Ishikawa.

Several characters from Shin Getter Robo and Getter Robo Go, such as Sho Tachibana, Go Ichimonji, Schwartzkopf and Misa Igari, appear in this anime and are given more expanded roles, despite never appearing in the Manga version of Getter Robo Arc. Furthermore, the anime also shows flashback sequences of events from Shin Getter Robo and Getter Robo Go in order to help newcomers unfamiliar with the Getter Robo lore understand how Arc's story kicks off.

The design for Kamui's mother is heavily modeled after the appearance of Shinichi Kuruma's mother from Majuu Sensen, another series that Ken Ishikawa also created.

Yuma Uchida was originally going to play as Sho Kamui, before he ultimately got the role of Takuma Nagare instead.

The design for Shin Getter Dragon in the final episode is based on concept art for Shin Getter Dragon from the 90s, drawn by Ken Ishikawa himself.

Several new scenes that were not in the manga are created for the anime in order to help flesh the story out better.

The three pilots of Gettersaurus; Vise, Ganryu and Gozuro, all had very different designs in the manga. Furthermore, Vise's name was originally Zol in the manga, while Ganryu and Gozuro were nameless.

The anime introduces two new characters that were not featured in the manga; General Basilisk and Compania.

The Queen of the Andromeda Stellaration, Meldousa, is only mentioned in the manga, and is never physically shown. Her name "Meldousa" is also exclusive to the anime.
