School Food Punishment to Perform Un-Go's Opening Song

posted on by Egan Loo
3rd late-night Noitamina anime with theme by musical group

The official website for the Un-Go television anime series announced on Thursday that the group School Food Punishment will perform the opening theme song "How to go."

The four-person group already performed the ending theme songs for two other television series that ran in Fuji TV's late-night Noitamina programming block — Eden of the East and C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility. School Food Punishment also performed songs for the Eden of the East films and co-composed Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing-'s opening theme song "Buddy" for Maaya Sakamoto.

Un-Go's website previously revealed that that Lama (No. 6) is performing the ending theme song "Fantasy."

In the story of Un-Go, Shinjūrō Yūki (Ryo Katsuji) and Inga (Aki Toyosaki) work together to solve mysteries in a near future timeline. The story is based on the works of Ango Sakaguchi (Aoi Bungaku Series' "In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom"), a post-World War II Japanese novel and essayist. Shō Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost Slayers Ayashi, Martian Successor Nadesico) is writing the scripts, and pako (Scar-red Rider XechS) and Yun Kouga (Gundam 00, Loveless, Earthian) are handling the character designs.

The Un-Go anime will premiere in October 13.
