Square Enix Releases Games for Android in Japan

Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, more offered for Japanese smartphones December 1

The game company Square Enix will begin offering titles for Android mobile phones on December 1.

The initial lineup will include Dragon Quest Monsters Wanted! as the first Dragon Quest smartphone game, versions of the popular Chaos Rings and Final Fantasy iOS titles, and Crystal Defenders. Square Enix also plans to release games such as Chrono Trigger and Itadaki Street for the Android market in the future.

The games will be available for users of Japan's KDDI phone services at launch, and services for NTT DoCoMo and Softbank users will be available at a later date.
