Call of Duty: MW3 Tops One Piece, Ni no Kuni in Japan

One Piece GIGANT Battle 2 sells 116,062; Ni no Kuni sells 67,032

Activision and Square Enix's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 video game for the PlayStation 3 system sold 180,372 copies to top Media Create's consumer software sales chart in Japan for the November 14-20 week, outselling both One Piece GIGANT Battle 2: New World and Ni no Kuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joō. All editions, including the limited edition of Bandai Namco Games' One Piece GIGANT Battle 2: New World for the Nintendo DS sold 116,062 copies during its first week of sales, and Level-5's Ni no Kuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joō (pictured below) for the PlayStation 3 sold 67,032 copies during its first week of sales.

Nintendo's Super Mario 3D Land (62,318 last week and 499,250 total), THQ's PlayStation 3 game Saints Row: the Third (selling 36,222 copies in its first week), and Square Enix's PSP game Final Fantasy Type-0 (30,543 last week and 682,173 total) round out the list's top 6. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Xbox 360 edition sold 30,467 copies to rank at #7.

Sega's Hatsune Miku -Project Diva- extend music rhythm game for the PSP added 30,042 copies to its two-week total of 214,715 to rank at #8 on the list after topping last week's list, and CAPCOM's Sengoku Basara 3: Utage added 25,771 copies to its two-week total of 149,968 to rank at #9.

Ultimate Marvel vs. CAPCOM 3 debuted on the list at #10, selling 22,436 copies for the PlayStation 3. All editions, including the limited edition, of the PSP port for Sony Computer Entertainment's Ore no Shikabane o Koeteyuku role-playing game added 21,497 copies for a total of 115,582 to rank at #11. Konami's Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition for the PlayStation 3 added 12,721 copies to its 52,464 total in its second week to rank at #16.

Namco Bandai Games' The IDOLM@STER 2 PlayStation 3 game is no longer on the chart.
